Svord santoku sharpening

The material that came with my Svord santoku describe the edge as a rolled edge, and a diagram indicates not to sharpen with a wedge type edge geometry. What is a rolled edge? convex? and how to sharpen?

Yes it's a convex edge they used to call it a rolled edge years ago. I just strop but if you go online you should be able to find how to sharpen with a mouse pad and sand paper also. Good Luck,
 
It's just a convex. You don't have to sharpen it a particular way, really. The convexing is just blended material removal behind the apex, so if you sharpen it like a regular edge you just may want to do a little work on the shoulder after a time to keep the geometry thin overall.
