Greetings! Wasn’t sure where to post this, but lately I’ve been looking at the Von Tempsky Bowie by svord. However I’m not sure whether to go with the full size version, or the smaller, Ranger model. Please help sell me on one or the other, thanks!

Neither. I'd get this.

Bowies aren’t exactly the most practical knives in general so you might as well go with the big choppa.

I used to have the large one. One of the few knifes that dared to have actually great edge work to chop like hell. I loved playing around with that knife! :)

I have both the large and smaller bowies. The large one is not well balanced, comfortable or even modern. It is pretty tough and made of quality materials. The Ranger just feels better to me, handles and definitely carries better. The big Von Tempsky mostly stays home.
