Swing guard knife?

There seem to be several brands. Case, Queen, Puma, Boker, even AG Russell has the auto guard. Has anyone used any of these? Are they all just for collectors or will they stand uo to moderate use? Thanks for any info.

I sometimes carry one of the Case 6111 1/2 patterns.Kind of different but will do for a EDC.IMHO

Pretty much the same experience as nifrand. They are quite functional, but will not work as good prybars .

I would love to see more custom slipjoint makers messing with them.

Here is a pic of some big models 50 patterns out of the Case Classic series. (Big ole knives compared to the 111/2 type which are much more pocket friendly and usefull to me).
