Hey Gents!

Anyone out there modify Swiss Army knives? I want to be able to disassemble and re-assemble both 91mm and 93mm knives.

My number one question is about the pins. I'd like to find a source to get pins that utilize threads and screws for reassembly. I would appreciate any tips or info on vendors that sell the right hardware.

Thanks!

View attachment 1287172 The pins are smaller in diameter than the internally threaded posts (barrels) which are used on the screwed together custom knives. The goocher is enlarging the holes in the standard hardened blades to accept the 1/8” diameter barrels. The pins are like 2.5mm (.098”) and the barrels are .125”. If I were you, I would get a custom Ti SAK from somebody like SAKmodder.

Check out knifekits.com and see if you can find pivots in the right size. They carry metric. If not, you will need carbide drills and reamers.
