On Victorinox's web site I came across the Swiss Champ XXLT of which Victorinox says:
Here is some pictures of this beast:
This bigger than what was Victorinox's previous largest knife, the Swiss Champ XLT, which had 50 functions:
It seems that with the XXLT they have put nearly every tool in one knife.
My question is how practical is this knife? It can't really be considered as a pocket knife (unless you have extremely large pockets!). Not having had the opportunity to play with one I don't know how easy it is to use the tools with all that weight and bulk.
Does anyone own the XXLT or the XLT or has anyone had the chance to play with one in a store?
I don't know how much they cost (I couldn't find it on the US SwissArmy site), but I would like to own one just to add to my collection.
More a gimmic than a real tool?
"The Victorinox SwissChamp XXLT is the largest and most impressive tool of all. But it's not just collectors who are enthusiastic - fans of multifunctional pocket tools are also well served, the 284 g tool accommodating no less than 72 functions for thousands of applications."
