I was just remembering a little something from my childhood (which wasn't too long ago). When I was in about third grade, the most popular thing were these switchblade combs. I don't remember who made them, but they were only about $5 each. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, or even maybe where I might get one?

I also remember a few people having balisong combs. Does anyone know about these?

Thanks in advance,
Mitch

I found them on ebay!!!

Anyone have somet they wanna sell me before I bid on ebay?

Thanks,

I bought a switch-comb at an Army surplus store about 2 years ago. All the comb thingies started to snap off after like two weeks. I played with it almost non-stop so that is probably why. I would really like to see a balisong comb. Lets me practice with out risking cuts!

I have one of the Bali-song butterfly combs, my oldest daughter bought it for my birthday a few years ago. Light, very light, metal handles and a clip point plastic comb, I'll scan it tonight and post an image here, it works pretty good.

A fellow at work thought `AHH a butterfly knife that I won't get hurt with!' then he WHIPPED it open and the back of the handle cracked against his knuckles and broke skin, funniest thing I've seen in a while!

I have seen OTF auto combs which are fairly amusing. They are sent as grooming combs, however, they are also sent with a replacement blade. This quickly converts your OTF comb to an OTF knife. Prices on them generally run from 12-20 dollars. They say "Super Automatic" on the handle. Although very cheaply made, it makes a fun letter opener.

I have seen these before, I havent seen the balisong combs yet but if you or anyone has a pic of them, I am real interested.........

I too have never seen a balisong comb. Have seen al the auto-comb versions, but never a bali. Would love to get one just to place under glass, I collect unusual balisongs as well as regular varities.
