That's interesting Mete, because while forging with a hammer there is a point near the beta transus temperature where the metal is briefly easier to move than at a higher temperature, by which I mean its ghastly springback relaxes for a moment. This is a good time to flatten the billet and do small modifications.

I bet it would do better against flesh than wood and wet paper. Maybe give it to a butcher for some testing
