Friends,

After many years of use, the "O" Rings on my Heavy-Duty Sword Cane have dry rotted. One is completely shot and the other is barely holding on.

I don't have a Vernier and taking the Blade out to filly about in the hardware store seems a fractious practice.

Can anyone tell me exactly the size and composition of the replacement "O" Ring that I need?

Thanks!

My rubber O-rings on mine are hanging in just fine. I do like tiguys7 idea though

Nope , I don't know that , but did take some measurements of mine today . :)

The outside diameter of the installed and only slightly worn O-ring on mine = 0.973" . Just 27mils shy of one inch .

The shaft diameter next to the O-ring slot = 0.927"

Note that I did not take anything apart to take measurements .

If you've got the nerve you could take the cane sword into a local hardware store and get the correct O-rings. It's a legitimate reason to have it out so I don't see any problem with it regardless what the law says however and this is not legal advice. I'm not a lawyer

Depends on exactly where you live , and how local law sees you , IMO .

I could easily take this to a local store , but that's just me and here . :)

Routine carry is a different matter . This is illegal to carry in my jurisdiction on several counts . :(
