Bob Anderson was an Olympic fencer for Britain and a man I had never heard of until reading his obituary.

As the man who fought the light saber duels as Darth Vader, functioned as the sword master for the Lord of the Rings Movies, the Highlander movie and TV series, the modern Zorro movies, and several James Bond Films, Mr. Anderson brought us some memorable entertainment.

I highly recommend the movie "Reclaiming The Blade"...this was my introduction to this fascinating individual. He seemed like the kind of guy blade fans like we are could sit and listen to for hours. RIP.

Sad news. I remember reading an article about him many years ago in a newspaper or magazine. He was the man behind the swordfighting (my favorite parts) of my favorite movies as a kid. Star Wars, Three Musketeers (1993 version), and The Princess Bride.

The Musketeers, the Princess Bride, and the newer Zorro? Wow, those were great sword fighting movies.

I read the news last night but just now saw how much is to his credit.

I didn't recognize this guys name, but when it started listing accomplishments, I can recall him in the special features of the star wars movies showing the stars how to fight. He was a really cool guy, and I'm sure we'll miss him in our action movies for quite some time.

Wonder who will try to fill the gap that he left in the industry? Maybe its just me, but I don't know too many fencing champs around here...
