I've recently come across T. Kell knives, I don’t hear much about them on here. Any opinions and experiences would be helpful please.

Haven't held or bought any of their knives but that Guardian design looks right up my alley

I have 8 of them (9 shortly). They are hard use, bomb proof knives. The nickel boron finish on these are unique and the best finish I’ve ever seen on a knife. This knifemaker makes everything himself, right down to the screws. Ergos are fantastic. So are the sheaths. And the blades are ground to perfection. He has a very detailed write-up on his website regarding the finish and heat treatment of his blades.

I own everything from the Piranha (smallest fixed blade) to the largest (Sapper which is on the way as we speak). You could say I’m an uber fan boi. Which model are you interested in?

The reviews section on his website is pretty good and informative. I’ve left some glowing reviews on there myself on some models

That tanto in the first picture looks awesome! Neeves did a review on a few of their knives and he really liked them as well.

The tanto is my personal favorite truthfully but they are all close. I usually have the tanto at my waistline and a folder in my pocket. I do rotate the Tkell knives though. The sheaths he makes are very slimline and carry very well horizontally for the smaller sized models

Any experience of those two?
The Raider is the perfect sized EDC knife and it’s actually the one Tim Kell carries every day as well. I really enjoy that one. I like the deep belly for all kinds of cutting tasks.

The Mercenary is a big blade (similar to an Esee 6CM), both billed as tactical knives with swedges for penetration and truthfully, I prefer the Esee myself. The handle on the Mercenary feels very thin to me and the knife doesn’t quite lock in like the other TKell knives. I also find the jimping aggressive and slightly uncomfortable. I do like the finger choil though. It’s a great blade no question but not one of my favorites.

Pic comparing the Mercenary to the Esee 6CM.
