LT Wright has a new knife out with this steel, a spray formed D2. I recall the spyderco Gayle Bradley Bowie in PSF27 being similar. Is there any difference between PSB-27 and PSF-27? What are the advantages? I think I had a mule in PSF27 but can't recall much on its unique qualities.

No.

Finer carbides than D2, yet larger carbides than CPM D2.

After having a bit of a lurk on Sal's forum, I can talk generally about it. I'm going to sound like a 'bot, though.

The consensus is that it's almost exactly like CPMD2 as far as "real world" use: semi-stainless, tough, wear-resistant. Not in the same league as M4 for either tough or edge, but more stain resistance. Likes a "toothy" edge.

Some people have found reports that it has nitrogen in it, I didn't dig that deep.
