I never posted something in the sheath section and I can't say why....must be a case of consciousness.
Working with leather in tropical climate can be frustrating because the leather takes about hours to catch mold.
So sheaths I only make short before delivering the knife and until then they must be kept in the refrigerator.
Choice of leather is also important, mostly I use dry and hard water buffalo leather, it catches mold much slower than
high quality western tanned stuff and it is wet mold and formed much harder on the finished sheath.

Cheers

Beautiful work! I treat all my leather sheathes with SnowSeal to seal out moisture. Would something like that help to inhibit mold?

Looking good! Nice work.

These all look wonderfully secure and comfortable to tuck into/on a belt. Really beautiful work, thank you for sharing.

Bravo! I'm curious, in the 5th from last photo, is that a wood liner that protrudes along the edge?

High-Gear, MaCan, Thank You very much for the comments!

....it is a liner made from buffalo horn. It is sewn through pre drilled holes in the horn.
Gives the sheath more stiffness, protects the edge and the tip of the sheath against bumps and wear
and adds some space for details.
