Tempur-Pedic Beds

Well since i owned the company I did own the mattress. If you talking about sleeping on it night after night ---no I did not do that, but one night was enough for me to decide not to use it for my mattress, and some of the other reasons mentioned. It just didn't work for me. Latex is the way to go at least for me.

We have had a Tempurpedic mattress for 9 years. It's actually 2 long twins that make a king. We each have wireless remotes to adjust our own side or turn on the vibrator. We love it (them). No heat issues. No sagging. No back issues. I like a thick Tempurpedic pillow with a down pillow on top and a summer weight down quilt which I use all year around. The quilt is nylon with 900 fill down and weighs about 1 lb. for a long twin size. I sleep like a brick log.

I've tried to sleep on them a couple times, hated it every time. but then again, I'm a mover. if you sleep like the dead, it might be the thing for you. I just don't like feeling like I'm sunk into something

We were told it takes six weeks (!) to break it in, and that it would be overly firm until then. That was one of the reasons for the long money back guarantee.

I'm glad you found a mattress that works for you. That can be a frustrating quest, considering the cost of mattresses. We previously bought a mattress from a big retail store (the mattress was a regular mattress name brand, the store was not a bed specialist; they sell tools and car batteries and ... pretty much everything), and my wife and I experienced soon after we bought it problems with rolling downhill to the middle of the bed. My wife is convinced the retail store didn't deliver the model we selected in the store.

I've owned one for the last 6 years. Wonderful to sleep on, but for having sex the total lack of bounce can be a drawback.

Well I'm going on my second night, it's been one of the best sleeps I've had in awhile. the old mattress was in pretty bad shape mine you. The "jury's still out" where the wife's concerned, but I'm looking forward to another good nights sleep. YMMV. Thanks to all that contributed!! it was a good read!!.

Very happy with ours. Just spent the weekend at the farm and realised how much we missed the Tempur when we got back.
Others have mentioned it isn't the best for, er, non sleeping activities. I'd add that anything involving kneeling can be tricky, your knees kinda dig in. Practice helps :)

I have never had one or slept on one but was considering buying one at one time. I work with about 300 people & started asking around. I found the following to be the norm from my co-workers: It seemed skinny people seemed to like them much more than heavy people. Every heavy person said the same thing: they sunk in so far they could not roll over &/or had difficulty getting out to use the bathroom during the night. I am not that heavy @ 210 but i would be SO pi$$ed if i spent that much & had those issues. I am saving up for a sleep number bed someday.

My wife and I bought a Tempurpedic a few years ago and thought it was great! We did notice the heat issue, so when we moved up to a King size we went with a TempFlo. It's a memory foam bed with perforations and layers that allow air to flow more readily through the mattress. It's freaking awesome and was a bit cheaper than a Tempurpedic. I would highly recommend it!

We bought a Serta I Comfort memory foam bed over the Temper. The dealer told us they sell 3 to 1 over the Tempur. We have a queen size and we love it !!

Well then what are you doing here talking to us? Get to work, mate. :D

A few years ago we bought a latex mattress. Basically a thick slab of soft rubber with a lot of holes through it. Soooo comfortable. A total pain to move though.

I have one made by another company. It has 4 inches of the temper foam on top and bottom with springs in the center. I was odd the first couple weeks as you do wake up in the same place you fell asleep. I am used to it now and still wake hurting some but not anything like I did on my old mattress. Where I can really tell the difference is when I go out of town and sleep on a regular mattress,at Blade this year I would wake up every 30 min to and hour looking for the aliens with the bars of soap wrapped in wash clothes that they were beating me with.

we got a queen contour version at costco for 1500. aside from it getting hot she loves the bed. i heard they have new ones that are suppose to be cooler. i am 6'5" and i feel with the box spring it came with it sits low. it did take me a while to get used to sleeping on it. i think for the price it was fine, however i dont see spending 4k+ on one.
