It's been ten years since I first joined here and I want to mark the special (to me) day with a little GAW;

It is opened to all good folks of the traditional porche.
50 posts are enough to participate.

To join, just say : I'm in and try and post a picture of something you feel representative of your place, town or county, a knife is not necessarily mandatory...

The GAW will last til thursday 12th 0 am GMT+2

The happy (well, I hope 😊) winner will receive a 10,5cm (4-1/8") jigged bone Issard made Courty (an old parisian shop) violin and a assembled-from-parts-from-the-dump-yard humble 8,5cm (3-3/4") "pradel" - a sturdy workin' hack- with it's cheapo period plastic sheath.

There's also a june 6th coin to remember and celebrate that more than ever important day.

A wonderful pile of GA knives etc, Alain!!
Congratulations on your tenth Anniversary!!
I'm so blessed, I am not in for me, but if I may, I will enter for Will Power Will Power !!?? A steady contributor, despite painfully distant access, he deserves a prize!!Waynorth Store 1.jpg

A Traditional knife store created by our friend, Jean-Marc ( Âchillepattada Âchillepattada )!! 😁

very cool! and congrats on the 10 years!!! im not in for me, but I will enter on behalf of 5K Qs 5K Qs since ive won Gary W. Graley Gary W. Graley 's gaw recently!

Here is a picture of a place that no longer exists, as it has closed the other year. But it will be in the memories also it was made quite famous in Saturday Night Fever. I remember the night it was closing to, what a sight to behold. a lot of old school cadillacs were parked nearby paying their respects. A very brooklyn institution, more importantly a memory of Bensonhurst!

Flipping heck whats happened to the food in gods county Jack.🤪

I mean whats wrong with some scraps from the Chippie with bread and dripping. 🤣

Really decent GAW

Many thanks waynorth waynorth Charlie for the kind nomination 😍 However, I've been lucky to receive gifts from Alain before and I've had a lot of luck in GAWs , so if I'm fortunate enough to win I will nominate somebody else who has shown interest and posted in this thread .

Good luck then applicants, these are worthy knives 😻🐈‍⬛🐾

A church, abandoned and falling apart, in a rather hostile environment. Still, everything appears peaceful. I think this represents Iceland.
I would never had gone to this remote place had it not been for heaps of boulders and rock climbing in the area.
I'm in.

I can’t not enter this one so I’m in.

I’ve always been fascinated by history and the events that lead us to where we are.
I find my own families ancestry which is mostly French and Irish very interesting along with all the things that had to happen for me to be born here.

I’m proud to have been born and raised in the great southern land far away from the cities. The bush will always be my home and it’s what I think of when I think of my place of belonging.

I could put in a thousand photos but this is a taste of what I love about my home.

Congratulations on 10yrs !!! What a wonderful, selfless, generous remembrance all round
I'm in ...

My humble 1945 cottage that had long ago seen better days, as it was being gutted and completely rebuilt and fitted out in 2005.
I purchased it finished in 2006. Guy had rebuilt it to give his sister but she had medical issues and couldn't move in. I got it for a song.
Perfect small size for an old retired guy and a dog.

My unusual bike I should ride more often. Don't see many of these.
Unusual because it is shaft-drive. No greasy chain to catch trouser legs.
7-speed and because shaft-drive, can shift to any gear any time. Even dead still. No chain lag.

Wow just schooled myself on shaft/belt drive bicycles. Always new knowledge on BF.

I'm in, thank you! Water is a big part of where I live in coastal NC - and I love being on it or near it. Sunrise at Emerald Isle, taken a few years back.
