Tent seam leaking

Hey folks I need a little assistance here. I have a Eureka Sunrise 8 tent for when me and the wife go camping. Last trip we had a pretty good rain and I had leaks everywhere. I thought I had sealed the seams when I bought the tent, but maybe not. Anyway when we got home I bought a bottle of the Coleman seam sealer and went to work. We took a little weekend trip last week and had a good shower one morning. Most of my sealing did OK, except in the bottom corners. I had a leak in every one. A little puddle of water just sitting there taunting me!!!!! So, any suggestions as to what else I might try? Is there another brand of seam sealer that might perform better?

I had the same problem with a tent once after seam sealing it. I just bought some clear nylon repair tape and taped the corner seams over and never had another leak.

I was just looking at some of that tape in the Campmor catalog and thinking that very thing!!

There is a big problem with seam sealer not adhering properly even when applied as a liquid. BEFORE you put it on, completely flush the seam area with alcohol or lighter fluid. I like to use lighter fluid and put the sealer on just before it's completely dry. I prefer the thicker stuff that comes in tubes, pressing it into the seam's stitches with my finger. The damp lighter fluid allows the sealer to seep into the tiniest holes.
