Please tell me that you are not wearing Crocs while using a Heavy Chopper! :D

Wow that's just a beast ! Would definitely like one or two of those:) the videos are great, thank you for posting them

Please make another batch of these, or even better a pre order :)

we call em 'Dorks' up here :)
you're right though, watching that vid I could tell I was losing energy in the chop due to the footwear. I usually like my steel toe work boots for their ballast, lol.

HDChopper is 6.5mm thick, 10" blade, overall it's around 16"

this big, stupid knife is growing on me.
completely different animal than the LC, so I've been carrying both :)
HDChopper is good for staying in one place, while the LightChopper is good for cruisin.

Nathan is not making the HC at this time, but is going to make something like a medium chopper :)

The medium chopper sounds interesting :) and I'm sure I'll be wanting one:D

But that HD chopper just looks awesome !!!

there is no plan, that I know of, for a medium chopper, so don't get your hopes up on that front.
the LightChopper will do pretty much anything you'll need in a knife that size.

a SmallChopper, on the other hand, might be a good addition some time down the road...

Nathan posted here:

"The Heavy Chopper was prototyped and I decided not to make a pattern of it. It wasn't a practical knife for most people. But, I do still intended to do a bigger chopper than the Light Chopper, something developed with less portability concerns in mind, and with performance oriented cutting geometry. Thicker and longer than the Light Chopper and primary grind geometry along the lines of a competition cutter, but with a bit more length and a point.

I have a full sheet of 1/4" 3V here waiting on me..."

I didn't mean to coin a name, I was just trying to shorten the description Nathan used. In my mind, smaller than large, bigger than light = medium!

The lightchopper sure looks like an impressive knife, and I'll bet it would do all I'd ask of it. For that and all the info posted here I sure would like to own one one day. That said its just personal preference that I like a hefty knife, also I tend to be torward heavy duty stuff lol. I've always liked things just a tad overbuilt :) like for muscle car engines I'm the guy always going for the steel crank and forged rods, even if it's street car.

But I'm here cause I like the designs of the knives and from what I've seen they offer serious performance and dependability. Thick or thin, great work and great knives !!

PS I did like seeing there's a sheet of 1/4 thick 3v around :D
