Going to be working in the shop a bit over the extended weekend :) All of these are 5160 and will get tapered tangs and full flat grinds. Handles are Osage Orange, Tiger Wood, and Purple Heart. E4951A38-102E-4981-8490-5BFA961B5A2A.jpeg

The purple heart one looks like it needs to be for a left handed user. ;)

I am looking forward to seeing these in a more finished state, Bill. Not sure that I am familiar with Tiger Wood but that Osage and Purple Heart are going to look pretty stellar.

A little caffeine and some motivation and look what I can do!!!! Got the scales roughed in on the grinder then I cleaned them up with the rasps. Still a LOT of work left but they are looking good and feel great in my hand already! 371C4C6B-0F2C-4873-9F81-B22D3F5519F1.jpeg 40C99679-2C6A-477A-8744-E09C2DE8CE5D.jpeg 0552EE9E-93D1-4D46-9F09-9CF713252E1F.jpeg

Handles are shaped, sanded, and finished with the first coat of tung oil. 840D1392-8088-4A05-ABB5-FDF63152FD9D.jpeg

Almost done!!! I’ve loved working with the woods on these! They aren’t anything too exotic but they all look great the way only natural materials can pull off! The Purple Heart even has a small storm brewing in the grain on one side!
