Hi Casinostocks!

Here is a thread created for the sole purpose of asking you questions directly, in one centralized place so it's easy for people in the future to find little tidbits of info or perhaps even find the answer to a question they have you might have already addressed.

Hopefully this one can stay on topic so it doesn't become needlessly long. I promise I will do my best not to derail it. Maybe it will even save you a PM or two!

So my question is:

Do you think this is funny? (I hope so)
Also, if you had to pick only one, which one would it be, and why?

Here I was looking forward to lounging in front of the telly today to catch some Football and I wake up to this?

The guy at the Apple Genius Bar told me that for the best performance, I must put my omniscient organic CPU in sleep mode at the weekends. so if y’all don’t mind, I’ll be back to answer all that you ever yearned to know but never dared to ask Qs, on Monday. I promise on Matty’s Honor! :D

My favorite knives are plastic knives in faux silver finish because they look fancy yet very safe to the touch, even thought arguably very and for the environment.

I learned about knife handling safety or there lack of, back in 2016 when I managed to slice almost through my left index finger, resulting in two severed tendons! From then on if I ever handle a steel knife, it must remain sheathed at all times even if intended to use for cutting and battoning! Leather sheaths of course because plastic sheaths are just uncivilized

As for steel and thickness, the steel has to be a steal and at least as thick as me! Here's an example of the type of knife which I would recommend for common knife tasks.

Matty, in your experience, what has better edge retention, 6061 aluminum, or 30% GR Nylon?

Will I get better results sharpening on a brick, or concrete?

Is it possible to damage my heat treat running my knife through the dishwasher?

I messed up and put the lime on the body and the lye in the soil, is there an easy way to fix this?

You should be put in the doghouse

But since this is Ask CS a Q thread, I will not be ignoring you :)

- I'm a subscriber to multiple applications so who cares about edge retention? Both are very good materials when you need to MacGyver.

- this depends as to whether the concrete is already mixed, poured and set. If not, throw a brick in unsettle concrete to benefit from the best of both worlds.

- that depends on whether the dishwasher is plugged into a power outlet.

- not an easy fix, but not impossible. Just take a soil bath neck deep and let Mother Nature take care of it.

Okay, here's a serious question, how many Field Knives were made with wood handles? Somebody asked and I honestly have no idea...

Uncle Matty, could you recommend a good concealed carry Multiple carry Knife sheath (similar to the picture above) to carry my recently ordered UF's in? Also are these sold with matching vests and underwear (Color Coordinated of course);)

we're about to get another Machining center, and I can't decide if I should get the big mold making machine that do a good job with integrals, or the small high-speed machine with a pallet shuttle that can directly mill more bevels, which direction should I take?

I vote for the big mold making machine that do a good job with integrals:cool:
