Hey everyone. Just wanted to post a few pics, and share thoughts on one of my personal favorite medium sized Busse knives. The Badger Attack 3.

Every since Jerry released this revamped design in early 2000s ish. I appreciated the simplistic, and timeless features of this knife. I used this model extensively over the years, and has always served me well.

Pics below is a desert BA3 user/beater and safe queen DABA3 (sprint run anorexic desert variant)

Anyone else familiar or owned feel free to post pics. Always cool to see others in the wild. I know there’s a drop point variant out here somewhere too ;)

Wish I had one!! This PD I got has the same Handle;
Now a question?
What models had this handle?
Oh great!! Now I have to get them all…

Don’t drop it. Nice public defender w/ original factory sheath !

Great question. I am pretty sure the Public Defender, Buffalo Soldier, and Groovemaster were based off the BA3 model. They all were released similar time too.

Anyone please correct me if I’m wrong.

Just took a pic of a Groovemaster and Jungle Defender for reference.

Although probably more like a variant (?)- also the Busse ARK (Air Rescue Knife), & I believe that the elusive Euro4 is another 🤔

Euro4 (not my pic or knife)

Good call Jaxx. Forgot about the ARK could definitely be a “variant” of BA3 model.

I always more or less thought the Euro 4 and Tanker A was based off the original
Satin Jack. Blade stock on those were always “fatty” 0.25” and reminiscent to SJ line. I was gona save that for the next appreciation thread some time in future lol

SJ's also came in 3/16th, those seem to not get the same respect their beefier brothers get 😅, also the Desert SJ is .22- actually they varied a bit. One of mine is thinner, more like .20", IIRC
Bottom one is a later KC Show SJ one off (I think- if not then 1 of 2, or 3 @ 3/16ths thick)

LOL they got a bit more butt, but pretty close in handle slabs 😅

Jax, the ARK looks a lot like my Mole Jack. Any idea as the difference?
Yes, you're looking at *my* Mole Jack lol
Look up 1 to the 2nd knife from bottom, the one with teeth & Snakeskin 😉😁 that's the ARK 🤙

TY sir! Great collection. :)
You're welcome & TY! 🤙
It occurred to me just now that by your question, you might have been thinking about the NARK (Nuclear Air Rescue), the 2nd gen ARK, as it sorta resembles a BATAC (or SJTAC? I forget the NARK's length) if it had a long straight clip with a serrated band breaker on its spine, & was thinner stock. Same TAC handle style as our Mole Jacks have 👍🙂

I think it was member redwolf (?) that had an amazing BA3 collection. He put up some sale threads years ago and was asking what were, IMHO, rather high prices at the time.

I had but lost the original Jerry thread from 2002 where he posted official release of the BA3 I recall he details the PD in it too. Can’t remember. Anyone that can dig up would be cool to see

Here’s some original offering info below on the BA3 variants

ABA - Anorexic Badger Attack (2004 Ganzaa): $187 w/ micarta, $157 w/ cord wrap
ABA LE - Anorexic Badger Attack Limited Edition (2003): $297, Special offer pricing HERE
ADBA - Anorexic Desert Badger Attack (2003): $217, Special offer pricing HERE
BA3 - Badger Attack 3 (2002): $197, $232 w/ snakeskin

Had no idea ABA had a cheaper cord wrap option!

I know there a JABA too. Jungle Anorexic BA3.

Cord wrap option !!! What!!! That’s crazy, must not have sold any of those.
We need pics to verify these exist in the wild!
