After this last gathering I had this addition to the 24 neck rig thought up and finally got around to getting it done. If survival gear for the woods equals a McIntyre Rig, then cutlery very much equals a Becker Rig. As funny as it is, I really think this thing is gonna earn it's keep at the next get together at Half Moon Ridge.

Look upon it and tremble all you plastic cutlery peasants! Mwahahahaha!

You know, when I saw that second pic, I was a little worried. It looked like you had gotten swindled with one of those defective spoons that has the bowl inverted, but I guess you realized what had happened and fixed it by the third pic.

You gotta show us how you fix those. I have at least half-a-dozen spoons in my silverware drawer like that. Makes me sad every time I open the drawer, I tell ya. Really sad. All those great EB recipes that those poor spoons will never experience... :(

Oh, by the way, that rig of yours is genius!

ps - You did call out a patent on that rig, right?

Pretty cool. I was going to do something similar to my stock 14 sheath. Flashlight loop on one side, firesteel on the other.

Swap out the light? No way, y'all have obviously not eaten a meal in the dark at the gatherings, lol. I am trying to figure out how to do a small salt and pepper container on there

You should whip one up. I have been running this same setup on mine for a couple some odd years now, works really handy havin it all right there.

Dyin' over the upside-down spoon.

Always, always, have a flashlight in the pocket. So I could probably make room for something else.
Pretty genius, regardless.

Anyone considering light my fire spork, get the Ti. I swear we broke 5 plastic ones in 2 nights last summer. Big bummer.

I have been using the lightmyfire spork for years. My wife and I have both kept them in our work lunch boxes as well as using them camping. I broke a fork tine off once eating lunch at work and my wife lost a couple at work (not tines, the whole fork) but other than that we have had no issues. They are certainly light duty but they also weigh almost nothing. If you are gonna be cooking with it then the TI makes sense but for just eating the regular ones have worked well for me. For cooking with it they make an oversized TI version that I have wanted to pick up for a while. I carry the orange plastic one camping so I won't lose it. As you can tell, I love it!

I had, once, ever so briefly, a ti LMF spork, but was relieved of it by Moose. I have had several of the plastic ones though, and I think the only real saving grace is that it is a spoon separate from a fork, and so it behaves like a normal spoon. The fork though, it isn't like a normal fork.

I made this thing to carry normal utensils because I have a high end titanium eating device (American Kami ApocalypSpork) and it works, I have used it exclusively for years now (when I could find it) but at the end of the day, regular utensils just seem better, easier.

You'll be doing a similar treatment on a Baldric BK-21 sheath next, right?
Ok, ok, it would be easier to eat with a 9...
