He doesn't flip it open or even chop with it in the video. I don't speak what I assume is Norwegian either.

Tri-ad lock or butterfly / balisong locks can scale up nicely and are proven to work .:thumbsup:

This thing looks like the proverbial accident ready to happen .

Dangerously ineffective main lock , you have to manually reinforce with a bolt .:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

What if you are in a hurry , panic or just forget ?

Big NOPE for me !

Whoa, 11.5 in, I wish Cold Steel did an Espada XL Especial in the size
got 4 inches on the Espada XL and 3.5 on the Opinel no. 13, the two other functional huge knife-swords. I am a big fan of this genre. I would love one of those huge Microtech spear OTFs they made
If I am a fan enough of the Espada to own 5 XLs (XHP and S35VN fancies, hollow ground AUS-8 original G10 and two regular AUS10A, still need to either coat a blade black or buy a black version for a "piano" Espada) I definitely could drop 400 on this. But...

This is the thing. Unlike the other two knives mentioned, this seems more of a conversation piece rather than a use-now thing like the Espada XL with it's wave or the Opinel for BBQs and other such tasks. This would seem like something that is okay if you brought it out to the woods, set it up ..but at that point, I would just bring a fixed blade.
