This latest tidbit is tantalizing, but with the SK line presumably being delayed until they get their production backlog in order they'll have plenty of time to revise their plans.
I do agree that if they want to increase volume, and assuming that they have their handle dimension problem in order, they need to stick with what works and simplify the process.
Most production knife companies offer perhaps a couple of variants on their products, and they build them that way and don't customize at the time of sale.
So if they offer one alloy, one sheath color, keep the handle options to a minimum, and if everything bolts together without any fine tuning, they don't need to sell seconds, they just need to sell SK line knives.
If the SK line is a production version of the GSO line then parts interchangeability allows the GSO seconds to become SK firsts.
Assuming that Silver is right and Guy will let somebody else sharpen them.
