We went with the handle length of what the vast majority of all Viking swords featured.
I have not seen any 2 handed Viking designs.
Typically, the Vikings had their sword in one hand and a shield in the other.
I don't have a Viking Shield, but am able to hold my bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue in my left hand while swinging my Viking Long Serpent with my right hand.
Here's a pic in Garth's hand.

The Greatest Viking Battle Sword Of All Time!!! . . . The Busse Viking Long Serpent Pics Are Here!!!
Why is it called The Viking Long Serpent?
The Ormen Lange, also known as the "Long Serpent", was a legendary Busse Viking Longship built for King Olav Tryggvason.
It was the most powerful Viking Longship of all time!
Our Viking Heritage . . . The Busse Viking Warship
The Busse class longships were the most prestigious Viking warships.
The Busse was large, with sizes up to 50 meters, or approximately 160 feet in length.
Fitted with both sails and oars, a Busse could have up to 35 pairs of oars, allowing it to travel with speed, utilizing any propulsion method.
The Busse was capable of carrying a large cargo, which was beneficial on large-scale raids, where the Vikings would look to take as much treasure home as possible.
The Busse was thought to have carried a crew of around 80 Vikings.
The scale and size of the Busse also allowed the Viking raids to travel further afield.
The larger cargo holds meant the journeys across the oceans would be feasible compared to the smaller ship classes.
The design and balance make this my favorite sword of all time!
Let's Drink!
