Such a great setup, Jack Black Jack Black ! I love that the directions say "No Skill Required" o_O

Thanks :D

If you think of it as a pen knife post it.
I'd love to see 'em for sure.

Well, they are the original Penknives :)

Many of the Quill Knives I've come across do not bear the name of the maker (or I'm unable to read it). Possibly this is because the small size of the tang would require a specialist stamp, but also because they included in specialist writing sets and reticules (long after the era of the quill pen passed), which were sold by other companies.

Two-blade Quill Knives are much rarer, and generally older. The nearest I have to one is this knife, which was made in Shrewsbury (once a cutlery capital in it's on right), and carries two names. 'Salop' is an old name for Shrewsbury, or for the county of Shropshire.

I love this thread. I’ve picked up two new ones just since my first post. I have always loved little knives, but these little vintage pen knives are just awesome, and so cool. Thank you everyone for sharing your collections and stories. Looking forward to more. When my new ones arrive I’ll be sure to post them up.

Nice.
I missed out on one of these on Ebay recently.
Honestly though I wish they were carbon steel.

I do, too. Those little pen knives with carbon blades have really grown on me. I like the way they age, and I prefer how they take and hold an edge over the stainless. Either way, a cool little knife. It just tickles me how small it is in hand.

Beautiful examples Tongueriver, the second Boker you posted is very appealing. I think these size knives are my favoured choice for day to day use.

My newish acquisition is cutting wafer thin tomato and chorizo, slicing open bread rolls, envelopes, cardboard boxes, pallet straps all done with ease and style.
A 60 sec strop every couple days restores hair popping performance. Hope I don't lose it!
