Today I went to an estate sale closeout being held in a warehouse. I had no particular aspirations, but found a nice little addition for my shop there.
No, it isn't a tool or supplies for knife making. It was a JVC FS-2000 "Ultra Compact Component System".
They had no plug for it and no speaker wires so there was no way to test it, but I took a chance and bought it for $30. When I got home and tested it I was well pleased... it makes a lot of coherent sound, and has pretty darn good dynamic range for a system its size.
Now I worry that all the dust in the shop will ruin it. But hey, I bought it for the shop so in the shop it goes.
