What's the priciest knife you carry (or have carried) on a regular basis ?

Are some knives so expensive (and unique) that even though you own them you wouldn't dare carry them ?

What about a custom folder , a BM Gold Class , a rare Spydie Sprint ? Would you carry and use them ?

I sometimes carry a Jim Burke custom runt with damascus blade that I paid about $950 for a few years ago. I could conceive of a knife so rare or special that I would not carry it, but the price of the runt, standing alone, does not stop me from throwing it in my pocket. It's a cool knife, and I bought it to use it.

Probably my regular Sebenza 25. Just because its meant to be used and a few scuffs or scrapes aren't going to really hurt its value if I decide to sell. I actually have less expensive knives I wont carry just because if there not pristine it really devalues them.

I carry different Military sprints almost everyday...I carry ZTs, Reeve's, Striders, sometimes a RJ Martin or a G&G Hawk.

When I'm on the Harley I carry a Fraley fixed and a throw away folder like a Benchmade.

Most are 200-400 dollars, the customs have inflated so whatever the market is.

I had a sebenza once, for about a week, but returned it because I wanted something more "unique" and ended up putting that $$ towards a new guitar. The sebenza is a nice knife, but a new CF Martin is way better IMO.

Now, my most expensive is a spyderco southard or a zt 0562cf (whenever I receive it:grumpy:). For me, anything over $300 is spent on new guns or guitars.

Today I carried my Mayo (Bowie/clip pointish) and yesterday I carried my XM18 1 1/2 Gen ( when you could call him up and ask what he had!). If I didn't use these knives my wife wouldn't buy me anymore!

I would never buy a knife just to keep hidden away in a drawer. Every knife I buy (and will buy) is going to wind up in my pocket.

That would be one end of the spectrum, there are some folks that collect others that just use their knives. Nt all are the same.

Yes , to each their own. Personally , I could not keep a sweet high end knife locked away. Then again , I've never actually owned a really high end knife. $500 is the priciest that I have thus far. To me that's pretty expensive.

I've been carrying my green pm2 sprint, even though if I mess it up I will never, ever be able to get a replacement...

Thats my fear with sprint knives and why I don't carry my M4 Benchmade Griptilian (GPKnives run of 300) as much as I would like to lol That or my ZT0566 is my most expensive knife.

I EDC a Mission Knives all-titanium MFK folder, about $411.
My "Sunday-go-to-meetin'" knife is a Brian Flud chipped Stone Flipper, about $400.

My personality will not allow me to carry expensive knives. Too afraid of losing them. Just sold my Calavera Mod 4 as I could not carry it. When I ordered it I told myself I was going to carry it, but after a week of keeping it at home I realized I never would.

I'm thinking I could get myself to carry a Grayman Dua, so something like that.
