The old (and new) school Schrade thread

Hey It632 ret,
your pictures disappeared in this posting. I read the (magic for me)words Harness Jacks!! and wondered if you would post the pics again. That article was mine by the way! Thanks, CC

hello i just got a schrade walden 708 2 3/4 inch 2 blade boy scout knife. the 2 blades are on opposing ends and i am curious if there is a name for that particular style of knife? such as peanut, sowbelly, and such. please let me know if you know. thanks!

Holy cow, a 4 year old thread!

I don't even remember starting it. Alot of people on this thread are not around here anymore. Those were the days...

Well, might as well contribute. This one is not factory original but it is all original schrade parts. I rebuilt it out of 2 worn out ones.

Nah. You have the birds in hand. Lay them out side by each and compare the details closely. I'm sure the answer will be apparent to you.

Schrade made many many for Belknap under both Ulster and Schrade.

This is quite a thread that was resurrected Glenn. I remember seeing this thread when I started in this forum in the fall of 2006. Some old names of guys I remembered, but quite a few had already moved on.

A few knives I've picked up since then to keep to keep this thread alive.

They are still in my collection and have been posted before. Like old members and cool threads, some knives come and go.

Those are some beauties Hal!

That scout pattern intrigues me. It's like a 906, but not quite. Is it in the catalogs?

I know what you mean, I read some of the older posts from time to time and it seems there were a quite a few good fellas that don't come around any more. Wish I had been given the chance to know them.
