That's a fantastic knife, Preston, all the way down to the Idaho blade stamp. Can you name all of the handle materials?

Preston, I don’t usually go for glitzy or flashy knives but that is probably the nicest done deluxe handle I’ve seen - congratulations and a very nice addition to your collection. OH

Thanks, Tom, inlays of cocobolo, turquoise, jet and coral. Yes, the Idaho tang stamp sealed the deal.

Thanks, appreciate it, it was the first fixed blade of hers I've run across.

Recent local find. Could not find any info on this one and not in the SP list.
I'm guessing a club or organization, probably defunct. Enjoy.

Roger, I came up empty on my search as well. I even looked for the same font. What does that blade stamp tell us about the knife? Why no date code? Is it stamped or etched?

Yes, like Preston said... 2002. No model number is unique to 2002, the 'ANVIL' symbol replaced the model number on all knives made in 2002. Some collectors find 2002 models desirable because of this. Starting 2002, custom knives also use the 'ANVIL' symbol with the word 'CUSTOM' underneath. So.... ANVIL symbol alone is year specific to 2002 but ANVIL/CUSTOM is not year specific, but started use in 2002. This can make dating customs difficult without a COA or listing in Special Projects. Buck has change up the use of an Anvil on tangs more recently but I am not sure what the scheme is yet. BTW... on the knife I show, the tang is stamped and the blade is etched.

I'm not sure what year this is really but it's one of my favorite Bucks. 4 liner, Inverted Buck 105 USA.

Welcome to the Pathfinder Club, Brownwm! That knife looks like you just stepped into 1972 and bought it new at the local hardware store. Keep an eye on eBay for a replacement flap sheath. They show up every now and then. That knife deserves it!
