The Pathfinder Club - Members Only!

I hope to find an older 105 some day. Wife drags me into antique and thrift stores quite often. Better chance to find one up here in North Carolina

I am the original owner. No mods to the spine. The only thing I did was try to sharpen and never had success. Even bought the Buck Honemaster (pita) which I still have in the plastic case. I agree with your comment. The grinds today are much different with a more prominent hump in spine, flowing design and better cutting edge. Yet the same Buck 105. That is why I have three now and not three in the 70's.
 
Nice 105 variation GPyro, the 105 really is a do-it-all, all around outdoors knife. Wonder how it sells compared to the 119 - I'm going to guess those are the two biggest sellers in the 100 series line. OH
 
I cashed in my credit card reward points and have a 105 red micarta S30V C&C exclusive heading my way from Amazon, it will shortly join this beauty with a bone handle... worthy of pathfinder club membership?

I really like that C&C 5160 version... too bad they are now out of stock.

Welcome caquino! Not only is that bone beauty worthy of a Pathfinder Club membership, it takes you all the way up the list to #12! Oh wait, it's an alphabetical list. :p:D Seriously, beautiful knife! My old 105 is not pretty, I remember having a really hard time sharpening it back in the day. I bought it new right after they came out. I finally got a decent edge on it, touched it up recently with some of my better stones, and take it out to look at every once in a while. It just says Buck on the blade, no model number, made in....
