The Pathfinder Club - Members Only!

Ok, here it is... S30V and red Micarta. And now I have another 105 coming with a Cherrywood handle and brass hardware. I can't seem to contain myself lately, guess I'm just doin' my part to help stimulate the economy :D

And here's the 105 Cherrywood that just arrived...

My 105 showed up today, I couldn’t be more pleased.

May this be my official entry into the Pathfinder Club?

Welcome Chuck! Consider yourself officially accepted into the Club. That's just a great looking knife - no doubt about it. I like your photo too. Thanks for posting! :)

gunstockjack gunstockjack I take it that it is an early predecessor to the Pathfinder? What year do you think it is? Very nice, historical knife. OH

I'm sure there are more knowledgeable folks here than me on Buck history, but I think this was the early version before the Pathfinder model was created. I'm guessing it is a file made blade from early 60's or so. It sold for $745 to some lucky collector, and is about the nicest example I've seen. Appears to have the original sheath, which I suspect is quite rare.

Maybe someone with more info will chime in on it.

Can I get in? And may I add I am super bummed I didn't pick up one of the C&C S30V/Red micarta versions!!!View attachment 1406607

You're in, troutfisher! Welcome! Don't be too bummed, you have a very nice 105 with an Idaho stamp.

I guess it's time to help reach TAH's goal of 105 Members. This is my Two Line 105 which has an accompanying sheath from 1968.

Welcome Bert! Better late than never! The best part is, this club is a great place to give old knives, like yours, the spotlight and another round of glory. Beautiful knife from tip to pommel. Thanks for posting! :)

I'll join. I usually lurk and read in the Traditionals forum, but wandered over here and read this whole tread...ended up on eBay. Found a "Best Offer" listing with a couple of small blurry pictures, asked the seller for better pictures and got a handful of larger, still blurry pictures. But he accepted my lowball offer, so here I am. Don't have any real use for a fixed blade belt knife; might have to put it to work in the kitchen.

Best I can tell from researching, it should be from the first half of the 80's (like me), and should be 425M steel.
