It didnt want to budge and i was hitting it pretty hard. Wound up drilling it with smaller bit then punched it out.did you push the pin out with hammer and punch?
Greetings all !
I never posted pic of my two new additions. im up to three now. i saw one in the pawn shop last week but they wanted $30 and it had an unfortunate meeting with a bench grinder. i just dont understand why people use bench grinders on knives. if i can find one cheep that has not been ground up, im gonna get it for a rehandle project.
Does it count if it's in pieces?
Greetings all !
the eight isn't a quantity, st8yd-Statewide.It counts! But only one membership, not eight. Welcome st8yd! Thanks for the photo of the disassembled Pathfinder. The blade and all of the handle parts would make a great display. Looking forward to seeing your customization!
But I think he got the 8 from the number of pieces after disassembly. I went back and counted.
There wasn't going to be any lucite in the guard. It might of been ok once it was all glued together at least that was my thinking, but the more I messed with it the more I didn't want to put all the effort into it and it not work. Those guards weren’t going to do much good being so brittle. They would have been dangerous.
I can’t wait to see the finished knife. I love the color.
Thanks, but God gave us all the ability you just got put your mind to it.Yes, I should've been more clear. Thanks eveled.
Knife is looking good so far, st8yd. I wish I had your talent.
Thanks, I really contemplated only doing the single piece aluminum guard as the old original lucite handles had, but I wanted to use the orange spacers to make it more unique.I like the spacer in the guard. It’s part of the Buck look.
incredible work there, Sir. turned out great. really impressive. All done! If I get bored maybe I will find some orange thread for the sheath.
Just in time for going to the woods next wknd, hopefully I will get to quench it.
