Although the blade shape is different from other knives I have I can tell it is seemingly perfect for opening up a deer. It will also be good for the camp cook.

I never posted pic of my two new additions. im up to three now. i saw one in the pawn shop last week but they wanted $30 and it had an unfortunate meeting with a bench grinder. i just dont understand why people use bench grinders on knives. if i can find one cheep that has not been ground up, im gonna get it for a rehandle project.

The modern day 501 is a lot different than my "vintage" one, it doesn't even have a model #, just "Buck." It's kinda like me, showing it's age. I remember having a hard time getting it sharp back in the day.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Leather handles and two liners! That’s good stuff gents! OH

Does it count if it's in pieces?

It counts! But only one membership, not eight. :D Welcome st8yd! Thanks for the photo of the disassembled Pathfinder. The blade and all of the handle parts would make a great display. Looking forward to seeing your customization!

Greetings Mitch110 and welcome to the Pathfinder Club! I REALLY like those stacked leather 105s. Gotta ask - Who removed the LL Bean blade logo? That looks great!

I don’t know what is going on. I received a second 105 yesterday and still have one in route from LLBean. I assume these first two are something the eBay seller did but I have no way of contacting them. And to think a week ago I was Pathfinder poor

the eight isn't a quantity, st8yd-Statewide.

Made a little more progress, slow as the first piece of lucite wound up being to brittle, but I had another guard off of his old chopsaw.

Those guards weren’t going to do much good being so brittle. They would have been dangerous.

Statewide is pretty clever. But I think he got the 8 from the number of pieces after disassembly. I went back and counted.

I can’t wait to see the finished knife. I love the color.

Yes, I should've been more clear. Thanks eveled.

Knife is looking good so far, st8yd. I wish I had your talent.

There wasn't going to be any lucite in the guard. It might of been ok once it was all glued together at least that was my thinking, but the more I messed with it the more I didn't want to put all the effort into it and it not work.
