^Great idea!

I've wanted to pick up another JMD to mod to a clip point profile. Maybe add liners and hand-shape the scales too. :D

There's also a Swamp Rat Kill Devil Sniper Hawk for sale in the Hatchet/Axe area.
Can't remember seeing one of those for many moons.

Boys, boys, boys, David Brown has a Chocolate Brown Chopweiler for sale with one of his Kydex sheaths....down thar.

Quit being an enabler... I'm trying to be good after ordering a busse.

Anyone have any experience with the corrugated bevel technology? Good, bad, indifferent? It looks cool but if it's not a "bonus" for function, there may be too many ratweilers in the exchange to jump at that forsaken steel heart. I may end up trying for a ratweiler and mountainmandu instead... for nearly the same punch to the wallet.

Hey, the koolaid tastes pretty dog-gone good. I wish I could help you out with your dilemma, but you need Hard Knocks Hard Knocks or somebody else.
Knowing you're a user, another Ratweiler? One for each hand?

I was trying to navigate my way around a different chopweiler deal a couple weeks ago but he got a better offer. There's still a well priced ratweiler that I think is the thicker cut I've been spying I threw an offer on that one too but the seller didn't take I thought it was even reasonable, compared to my normal cheap-ish ways.

I like to say you're frugal. It sounds fancier.
So you want a 1/4" thick Ratweiler vs your 3/16th. Do some dumbell curls this winter.

It's a beauty. I've got two and I've been thinking about selling one. The reality is, no way am I going to be able to destroy my user, so I might let one go. It doesn't seem like the chopweilers took off like the ratweiler did, which I never understood. It's one of my all-time favorite blades and handles period.

From everything I've read comparing the two, looks. Sex sells and the ratweiler was a little more sexy. Seems most comments point towards the chopweiler having a more comfy handle and more useful blade design, though the ratweiler wouldn't be much behind with personal preference really dictating what was more appropriate.

I would like to try a chopweiler but not sure I would buy one at "full-resale" knowing it's pretty darn close to the RW.

Hard Knocks Hard Knocks any experience using the corrugated bevel technology on some of the busse blades?

It does look way cool, and that's the biggest argument for it IMO....killer looks. If it really calls to you, get it.

bikerector bikerector looks like we were posting at the same time. Sorry for the short reply, my computer is giving me fits trying to freeze up. I've got CBT on a CG FBM. Looks great, performs comparable to others without CBT.
Dave, it's prolly all of that knife porn you got on the hard drive. :)

Perfect, thank you much for the input. My hope is that the steel heart is pretty much a busse grade ratweiler with the potential for a more comfy handle. And, dare I day, a little better looking. Should a be a nice pair.

If that's the case, then my only complaint is not sharing it freely enough. This thread could use a little more eye candy while the weather isn't cooperating to make our own :D.

I built a light box out of a decent sized cardboard box, poster board, and tissue paper that worked pretty good when you couldn't get outside. I had a 500 watt quartz light powering it. My cat shredded it beyond use.
