A few hunting pics. Spent the last couple days in Kentucky. Me and my brother took these 3 with archery. Currently sitting in a tree in Indiana....hoping for a big ole yankee buck. Dang its cold this morning.

The gutting tool works great. Its a lot better than a regular gut hook.

The latter is used on fixed blades with a wrist loop, and the lanyard hole is usually between the handle and the blade. Pig tail lanyards are short and help extract the knife from your pocket. A loss prevention lanyard can save your bacon if a pocket clip snags on something and the knife gets yanked out of your pocket.
Greg Pierce makes a tail piece for the 110 format knives that allows lanyard attachment. These are easy to install on take apart knives. I think he offers an installation service on riveted knives.
Knives with one piece molded handles have lanyard holes. These holes can be redrilled to accept push pin (quick release) lanyards. A medium length lanyard can be attached to your belt or life jacket. A long lanyard can go over one shoulder and under the opposite arm (to prevent accidental strangulation).

My Buck 102, an early 425 MOD variation (came in a flap-over sheath); bottom of the first picture and doing what it does best - cleaning ducks. I've been thinking about buying another one with some other type handle (maybe the red Micarta). Wishing a Happy Veterans Day to my fellow veterans! OH
