Thank you r8shell. It's an Ulster I've had for less than 2 years but it must have been a favorite of someone else's pocket too judging by the wear on the bone scales.

The large Camillus Trapper is a beast of a blade, no!!! make it a beast of 2 blades. That and Camillus Bird and Trout Knife have been seein’ quite a bit of use.

I love that little hook, I keep lookin’ for things to hook/hang it on and I love that slender Turkish Clip blade on it. Razor sharp and wickedly pointy.

I just wanted to corrrct myself. I had given r8shell credo for gifting me the above knives. R8shell had gifted me some knives also which are also in the tray to be tossed in my pocket in the morning on the way downstairs.

I meant to thank Don (@Sonnydaze ) for gifting me the pair. The lrg trapper is in my back pocket now (~);-}

As for cutting ability and slice ability I’d put the Camillus against any knife of similar materials. Hey an Emerson might outlever a large Camillus Trapper but used for what it was meant for, it’s a superior blade geometry and all around better slicer, that’s for certain.

I had that knife for over 20 years and until the Internet had no idea what it was.

Here’s another one that the internet helped me date and identify. This Robeson Shuredge is also about a century old.
