Apparently Daryl got one of the yet to be announced Team Gemini Extreme Light Brigades! Thing doesn't even have a blade!

it's being held in a reverse grip, and it seems like theres a line running down the center of the pommel side of the scales: the same grove thats cut out for the lanyard hole on the the team gemini. More than likely it will be the same knife continued into the new season. (Perhaps a light brigade, but they look identical anyways).
 
At least he's not staring at the floor like a certain dog in the picture.
 
I'm assuming it is a stunt copy without a blade so they can show him stabbing zombies. Just odd that they use it as a promo still.
 
I'm following the Season1 &2 marathon this weekend and am hooked.. actually watching DVR'd right now.. First thing I said when he went in that tent when looking for the girl in the woods in season 2 was.. "Hey, I know that knife!! That boys got some taste!"

Ummm....you do realize it is a still shot? If you are that critical perhaps you should consider their may be a threat out of the shot that can't be seen, like a crawling zombie. Or a zombie cockroach!

I thought you were just joking in your original post :p he is holding it in a reverse grip, as LVC said. You can see the blade profile jutting out under and behind his hand, albeit at a very acute angle.

If that were the case, I would suggest Daryl and Rick pay attention too considering how close to T-Dog's feet that crawling zombie appears to be. I didn't realize I was being critical as I thought this whole thread was just a joke.
 
I was joking about it being a different knife but I still think the angle at which he is holding it should show more blade.

Yeah, that is odd to me how short the blade looks compared to the not-so-steep angle his hand is at, unless it is a different knife... It doesn't look like his old Team Gemini to me.
 
Due to some budget cuts, Busse knives will no longer be in The Walking Dead.

Does a zombie outbreak void Busse's waranty? I would like to think the shop is fortified enough to withstand whatever is thrown at it. Perhaps we will get an episode where Daryl has to badass his way up to Ohio for some repairs. If the blade is gone, he surely used it to deflect a hand grenade. Would that be considered abuse?
