Test results came back ok, but apparently the chemo canceled out most of the shots she had got when she was younger, so she has to get them all again.

yeah - part of the job of chemo is to kill your immune system, so now that she's clean, she needs to build a new one before some ferschlugginger anti-vaxer's kid shared something problematic with her.

All the ones I've looked at appear to be cheaply made and doubt they hold a razor edge very long

it's a lot like a long-handled Ulu

Ulus are cool looking knives used by the Eskimos. I guess a leather or head knife may gen thinner to work on cutting leather?

Sometimes around August I wish I lived in Idaho again but
than I remember how cold it was around Febuary...
