The Yankee or Dixie Quiz

48% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category.

That sounds about right, given that my Dad is from the south and my Mom from the north.

<<57% (Dixie). Barely into the Dixie category.>>

And darn proud of it! :)

(not bad for a Northern writer  )

33% Yankee. Said definative yankee, but I don't know how a third can be definitive?

83% Dixie. That surprised me. Most people I meet tell me that I sound like I'm from up North. The client I met with this morning told me that he knew I wasn't from around here because I speak too clearly.

Clients are saying all kinds of weird things to me lately. Yesterday a couple told me that they've been telling everyone that they should see their attorney, "she's really cool looking." What the heck does that mean?

47% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category. This surprised me because although I was born in Chicago, I was raised in the Philippines. Only American exposure I got was in movies and books. Ah, but I was stationed in Ft. Campbell, KY, for 2 years. Might have had some southern influence there. :)

75% (Dixie). That is a pretty strong Southern score!

rofl, I swear I'm not a redneck...;)

61% Dixie, a definitive southern score. This is odd because I've only visited the south a few times, never lived there. My mom was born in Texas though...

48% Yankee.
Barely Yankee.

Born, raised and spent all my 49 years in NYC.
Barely Yankee...ha.
(Mebbe 'cause I'm a MET fan?)

75% (Dixie). That is a pretty strong Southern score!

Yeah buddy....Southern Nevada WILL rise ag'in!! :D

I was 53% Dixie - barely Dixie. Both of my parents were from the Midwest; many of the answers I chose were said to be form the Great Lakes and Midwest regions. However, my mom lived in (and loved) various parts of the South, sooo... ah reckon that's whar I gots it from ;)

I agree with Beowulf - I'm also from the Southwest and wish the test was more inclusive.
