It is a little heavy but it offers a lot of functionality. It also has a cool factor. Apparently I'm very late to the party on this one. I just saw one of these recently and then saw it again in a Ray Mears video. I'll be playing with this a lot.

Very nice review. I've been looking at the Zebra pots for the last year but I just haven't pulled the trigger yet. The 12cm looks like a good size for my winter snow shoeing trips.

A mate in Australia sent me an unbranded stainless billy can slightly different but similar. I love it and have used it quite a bit. It is 6 1/4" diameter. Not sure how many sillymeters that is.

Just as a heads up, they make 4 models. There's also a 16cm:

Thanks for the review and specs on the 12cm. Yes...you are late to the party lol, I was years late and you were years later than me :) I had a 10cm that I ordered thinking the smaller one would be better for me when traveling alone, and it was really, but then I gave it to a friend because it was just too small for me and my daughter when she goes with me. I was thinking about getting a 12cm or a 14cm, and thanks to your comparisons I am definitely getting the 12cm.

Of course now, when my woods are blanketed with snow, I am thinking that Zebra does not make a pot big enough to melt snow. Oh well. The 10 cm pot is only sexy because I can't have one. As Woody Allen said, the heart wants what the heart wants.

Eh, just set the pot next to the flames, keep adding snow, and then pouring the water over into a water bottle and some collapsible bags. Looking at the 16cm they make a pot bigger than I want to hump through the bush :)

Does anyone know where the 16cm size is currently sold? Ben's Backwoods is out of stock.
