Thoughts on Damascus blades by Grand Leavitt of Snake River Knives???

Looking at ordering a Damascus blade from SRK for my BM Mini Grip. Claims to have 58 HRC, would that perform better than my current 154cm blade? Any info or experience would be greatly appreciated.

IMO, no. Pattern welded damascus won't perform better than 154CM, assuming both are hardened to the same hardness. If the 154CM is harder, it's more than just an opinion.

I only have one blade in 154CM, a Benchmade mini-griptilian. The blade hardness on that is 60HRC.

How well the damascus will perform will likely depend on which alloys were used to make it.
 
From all the reading I have ever done, damascus is for looks. It can be great steel too, but does not perform better than non-damascus.
