Been recently reminded that i want a G10 Dua and a Ground Pounder at some point.

Anyone own or use these?

How do you like the edge?

The chisel grind?

Sharpness/strength?

Handle comfort? They look really boxy.

Sheath? Prolly replace the hideous brown one anyway.

Thx.

I've had two DUA's. Sold both. I like the knife, but the finger groove is too far back for the index finger, and so you need to put your middle finger in it. Uncomfortable for me. I think that some folks DO LIKE that finger location, so perhaps you need to try it out for yourself.Nice knife, but the 0.160" thickness of the 3.25" blade makes it a tank. Will not slice well, in my opinion, unless you rebevel the edge to 30 deg included angle.
Lots of folks like tanks these days, and that's a good thing if you need a heavy-duty blade thickness. You should note that Striders routinely have thick blades and are well-reputed as heavy-duty capable.
Here is a pic of my Orange DUA with a small Sebbie and a Three Sisters Forge Beast, for comparison sake.
To be fair, the TSF Beast is also 0.160" blade thickness, but the blade is barely less than 3", which makes it legal in those states which do not allow for a longer blade. I've had three of these and have gifted one of them to a nephew who is in car mechanics classes, and he loves it. Nice knife, IMO. The maker, Jim Allen, is a gem.

I just recently got one used and love it. Great thing about it is the Grayman's will warranty the knife no matter what.

I have 2 Duas, and while I wouldn't describe either as outstanding slicers, they are definitely tough, capable knives. Great for cutting twine, cardboard, etc but not my first choice to thinly slice a tomato :).

They don't connect with me at all. I have zero desire to own one. Still, I respect the reputation for quality and durability. If somebody pulled one out of pocket, any of us would recognize that we were interacting with a fairly aware knife person.
