Thoughts on the 9100 Auto Stryker?

If you decide to get a 9100 I think you will be quite happy with it. I collect autos including BM’s and the 9100 has been my EDC for several years. I sharpen it on a ceramic stone every now and then and it keeps a razor sharp edge, which I demand. It came razor sharp and the only shortcoming that I have found is the release button, it is a little small for my big hands, but that is my fault, not that of the knife.

Good luck on your decision

I carried a 9100 for 3 years before I moved to California. Also carried a 9350 when not at work (needed a smaller blade). Never had any complaints. Others have mentioned the button but I never found it to be a problem. If you have one available to you, I'd say go for it.

May I ask why you removed the handle coating on that CBK? I'm glad you like ythe 9100, I'm getting one in a trade.

well the spring just broke on mine today. Other than that it's a great knife. I wonder if BM would send out an auto spring.

Generally not. If you send it in, they will not only replace the spring, but refresh the other internal parts as well. My 3550 usually comes back with all new parts.

Good lookin knife. Need to add a tanto to my collection. Trying to decide between one of these or an htm legacy tac.

My son was issued two knives in Afghanistan with the 82nd he give me the 9100 and I take very good care of it. Best knife I ever owned.

The Auto Stryker is hands down one of the best knives in Benchmade’s portfolio. It’s not the latest fad, it’s a workhorse. It’s tactical (and tacticool), while also being purposeful and utilitarian. This is one of Benchmade’s most legit offerings and still resonates from their heyday, in my humble opinion.
