Thoughts on the Gerber Vise multi-tool??

Multitool.org has some reviews of it . Supposed to be pretty solid . What I gleaned from the comments I read there is that it is inferior to the Leatherman Crunch .

I bought it a few days ago it should arrive shortly :D, can't wait.

@cdf (chris) could not find the reviews you were talking about unfortunetly. i saw the leatherman crunch and i dont like it its 2 big for me and im going for mobility you know good use in a small package :)/

IIRC , the Crunch is in fact smaller , but I have been wrong before .

The New Gerber Grappler is a very cool tool. I like the one hand opening of the vise pliers, very handy indeed. Also the easy opening the outside blades as well. It's a keeper! I have to work with it some more, I still lean towards my Leatherman Crunch or the Vise Grip-Schrade Multi tools which by the way are for very serious clamp gripping work. Also in the running for more of a great gripping multi tool is the discontinued one made by Kershaw. Craftsman's Multi tool is the same one as Kershaws just a different stamp. One of these nice summer days I will pop off a couple good pic's for all to enjoy for comparison.

Thanks,

Jules

I have one of those Vise Grip-Schrades, the ST6. I like mine, too. It's like having a regular pair of Vise Grips with a blade, screwdrivers, and a saw. Seems just as sturdy as a regular pair of Vise Grips.
