I have no personal knowledge, never having handled one. £200 seems a bit more expensive than $170 some dollars, but that doesn't necessrillr reflect quality.

Let's leave this open and see who else stops by. We do have a few regular members from Switzerland. :)

I would think that it's a very special knife!

For one thing, you're dad gave it to you. That alone is special. Then there's the silver factor. The Vic classic has been offered with smooth silver, hammered silver, barley corn figured silver. All beautiful little knives that happen to be very useful on a day to day basis. Very cool to have a Tiffany silver classic.

Google is your friend just try "Tiffany Victorinox knives" you will find what you seek.

From what I understand, Tiffany and Co had these made by Victorinox to commemorate the year they were founded. I've seen silver and gold versions and all were around thet price point.

Really nice knife, and a very nice gift from your dad! My wife loves T&Co., so I can unfortunately vouch for their things being pricey!

I used to run down to South Street Seaport when I lived in the city. Coach was a nice place to stop and browse. I could always find something appropriate for an upcoming occasion.

Spent so much time there Esav!! There was a stand inside that sold the most amazing home made candy apples ever!!
Used to take the kids when they were little and eat all different kinds till we puked!!!
Great place to spend a Sunday afternoon........you just had to stay out of the stores.......or leave the wife home!

Before SSSP got built up for the tourists, I would ride my bicycle to the Fulton Fish Market and hit the stand for clam chowder or some other snack, then down to the Battery to stand in a cold wind and stare out to sea!

Then peddle back up to East 81st ...

Yup!!! Did a lot of refrigeration work at the Fulton St fish market!! Got to know most of the vendors and I got some of the best fish I e ever tasted there!!
Classic New York!!

It's amazing in a city like NY that you can run over to the market and buy fish that was pulled out of the water a couple of hours ago.0

I guess the price of Manhattan real estate was what kicked the Fulton market up to the Bronx.

My soon to be ex-wife was not at all like that. She would buy hundreds of under $50 items each month rather than save up and buy one or two very nice things every few months. I proposed November of 14, and engagement set was rose and white gold. I got a deal on the setting because rose gold wasn't popular at the time (I was lucky, three weeks later rose gold became the in thing). For that Christmas, I bought her a matching rose gold and swarovski crystal Bulova bracelet watch. Since then, she's maybe worn it all of four times. Me on the other hand, well...

I'm wearing a $150 Egyptian cotton dress shirt, $180 black khakis, $220 Ecco dress shoes, a James Avery sterling silver necklace with greek cross pendant (my great aunt gave me).

When I get the links taken out (I've lost 75lbs in the last year) I will be wearing either my plain jane silver Bulova or my gold and silver diamond Bulova. I also wear a James Avery crown of thorns sterling band, or a sterling and emerald claddagh ring. Sometimes both. I used to have a 14k white gold 1.5ct blue sapphire ring, but its long gone. My bro-in-law borrowed it to have a ring a the justice of the peace for their official marriage (destination wedding) and lost it.

I've always been the shopper in the family, and I probably have 25 pairs of shoes. I'd have more, but its hard to store size 14's.

That SAK is gorgeous. Really neat. Especially that your dad gave it to you. My dad hasn't done that since I was 13 years old. I give him knives now. Gave him my rarely carried LionSteel Opera in Cocobolo, which he absolutely loved. He's 60, and this spring he decided he was sick of our family business, and comes in late to work and leaves early (which is great, as he's my boss!), and spends most of his time landscaping his 2/3 acre lot. He uses the knife a lot.

Some day, when he's least expecting it, you should give your dad a knife equally as cool as this SAK.

Oh and yes, I'm jealous of your knife.

I did a ton of HVAC work on Hester St in Little Italy Esav. My favorite time of day was around 6:30 am.....the fish truck doing deliveries!!! It's a truck with a huge translucent tank that live fish swam in!! They'd pull up to a restaurant, the chef would come out and choose his fish and the driver would net it, wrap it in news paper and throw it to him! A small crowd always gathered to watch!!
Classic Manhattan!!
I can only imagine what those poor guys were paying for a stand at the fish market!!

I got one as my 5th year anniversary gift at one of the companies that I worked in.
Very, very nice little knife.
