Hello all!

My first post to this forum, been lurking some time and having some fun!

Of course i'll "need" a Strider knife now and i was wondering about the "tiger striping", i assume (DOH!) that this is just for looks, or??

Any input appreciated!
Btw, Mr. (Mick) Strider, liked your reply to Mr. ps2photo "Truthfully, we're just losers" i've never seen anyone (on these forums)handling a problem like that, truly awesome! i think that it finally decided for me that you're great guys

2sharp, I think I read in another thread that the tiger striping is done by selectively removing some of the scale (or whatever it is) from the knife after it is heat treated. Don't know about protection of the steel, but it looks awesome, that's for sure.

Jonas, here is the thread that I was thinking about. Still, I don't see that it actually protects the blade, but I didn't read through the entire thread.
