So, I really love this knife. I believe my grandfather got it off of a SnapOn tools truck when he was at work (mechanic). I was just wondering what you guys thought of it or if you own one. Heres a link to the specs. http://www.gatcosharpeners.com/product/tactical/kellyworden.mgi?mgiToken=41D30B03236AD87141E . I have the second one down in the pic.

I have a lot of higher end knives and I know AUS8 isn't impressive but this knife really is sweet. The blade flips out as smooth as my grippy.

......a big , some-what heavy, beefy folder...pretty good heat-treat on the AUS-8 four inch blade.....I found the Zytel handles a little slippery......liner-lock on mine failed the spine-wack test ( which I could care less about as I never intended to use it for Martial Blade Craft.....as it was designed by a martial artist is worth mentioning however )......VASTLY under-priced.......almost universally acclaimed by owners as a surprisingly "good deal"......also came in a smaller 3" blade version, and then the same two models could also be bought for a bit more with "Winewood" scales. All in all a nice folding knife.

Original retail was about $49.99 and $39.99 respectively for the Zytel handle 4 and 3 inch models. Since discontinued by Timberline.

I had to do a lil work on the lock because mine failed too, i just did it because i got bored lol. I find it heavy but not uncomfortable for pocket carry, which you need a pocket to carry it... lol. I don't find the handles slippery because my hand fits the whole handle in it and i just use it for cutting work, no weird grips. Yes, Kelly Worden is a Martial artist, which is why it has a point on the top of the handle, for self defense. Idk what it was bought for so I can't comment on that. It's one of my top fav EDCers.

Never had the Timberline version, but I did have the Crawford custom model and the handle of the Wortac is very comfortable in my hand. I've heard good things about the Timberline version. I'm curious as to how you fixed your lock Suzuki. Did you disassemble and put more bend into the lock? That is usually what I do with my knives to get a stiffer spring.

Kelly Worden no doubt knows his stuff---his designs are oriented to effective use. I myself talked with him for a lengthy period of time at the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot at his display booth there and subsequently bought several DVDs and a Travel Wrench composite karambit to use as an impact weapons. I have also bought TOPS's Wortac 5, which is a Kelly Worden design. I hope someday to train with him---his techniques are fabulous.

I have "Supreme" edition of this knife - polished blade and stabilized wooden handle.
Nice big folder, but lock it failed spine whack, and liner lock moves under pressure as well.

Yes, i disassembled it. I bent it a tad bit more so now it centers on the blade a bit. I did it slowly though. I was afraid to go too far with it. I had to use small hex wrenches because i didnt have torx haha. Well, not that small of a torx neways.ive actually been wanting to polish this blade. can ou put up a pic?

Yeah, i have every torx BUT the one i need for knives lol. The pivot screw on it is the smallest torx i have in my set. I've been sticking with knives for the last 8 years of my life lol. I started collecting when i was 13.
