Timberline Lightfoot Designed Mini Pit Bull Neck Knife

I bought myself two of them, and yes, I really like them. They're stout and sturdy, and they have a good feel in my hand -- but remember, they do feel "mini." That is to say, they don't fill the hand.

I have one gripe about them, and that is that there is some tiny bit of inward curve (I would hesitate to call it "recurve") on the edge near the handle, making that part difficult to sharpen on my chosen stone, which is a flat Spyderco Ceramic Whetstone. You need something like the rounded edge of a Spyderco Profile to handle that part. While the Profile used to be my sharpening system of choice, I don't favor using it now as much as before I got the Whetstone.

The Mini-Pit Bulls I have are now extremely sharp. I know that the steel (AUS-6) is not the "greatest" but I'm sure it's just fine for my purposes.

Since these knives are sold for under $30, I think they're just fine. The sheaths fit nice and tight, btw.

I had one a while ago. The only reason I traded it off was because it was a Conbo-Edge and I don't like Combo-egdes. If it had been a Plain edge (got it in trade) I would have kept it, especially since I have a little 50 lb. 'Mini-Pit Bull' named Rosie here at home...she's so cute...

Enjoy your new knife!

I have one of the plain edge mini pitbulls and I quite like it. It isn't a big knife but is sturdy for it's size. The only gripe I have is that the sheath is a little too tight. I snapped the (included) ball chain trying to unsheath it from neck carry. It needs either a looser sheath or a stronger chain.

Is it a kind of Kydex sheath where you can heat it gently with the heat coming off a propane torch (not the direct flame), or a heat gun. With Kydex you can easily ease the fit, or tighten it for that mater.
