Hello guys , from now on I'll show my puukkos in one place - in this thread.

For a start - tommi puukko very close to the classic design - birch bark , peened cap and 5 mm thick rhombic blade. Only exception is that the blade is stainless .

Steel - N690 58-60 HRC.
OAL - 219 mm (~8.6").
Blade - 108Х22Х5mm (~4.2x0.9x0.2") rhombic grind with micro secondary bevel.
Blade finish - p 800.
Handle - Birch bark and brass.
Leather sheath with wooden inlay.
Weight with/without sheath - 119/162 grams.

Something that I don't usualy do - the opening of the sheath is folded to form a thicker rim.

Oh sorry , my mistake. For some reason I thought that you are asking about the one with burl handle. The birch bark one was a commision.

Blade - 140Х26Х5mm (~5.5x1x0.2") rhombic grind.
Blade finish - p 800.
Handle – Stabilized alder burl, g10 and brass.
Leather sheath with wooden inlay.
Weight with/without sheath - 199/266 grams.

Thanks Grouser . In my region we have birch trees and a friend of mine gathers bark for me. There are places online where you can buy bark , but you should check them to see where would be the best deal for you .

No , birch bark doesn't need glue. Just stack it , press it and heat it to around 70-80 C in the oven . Then press it a bit more and it sticks to itself , because it's full of natural resin. And Merry Christmas to you.
