I will soon own three ATC tomahawks a ranger spike
a next generation vietnam and soon a minuteman 'hawk
I would like to know where I can buy books as well
as get hands on training to use my 'hawks more
efficiently as a weapon. Another interest of mine
is using the knife & hawk combination. This may

Sorry Dee. This IS the right place to talk about it.

First, there is only one Tomahawk/Axe video that I am aware of in our business...and it was done by James Keating. If you go to
www.jamesakeating.com, you will find ordering information.

I am not aware of any Tomahawk specific books, though if you look into books that cover Medieval and Rennaisance Combat Techniques, you may find some discussion about Axe fighting.

As for hands-on training, Greg Walker is currently ATC's Senior Defensive Tactics and Weapons Instructor, who is helping us develop Programs of Instruction. As more becomes available, I will share it here.

Many of the Filipino Martial Art instructors enjoy the Tomahawk, as it fits into much of the work that is already done with Knife and Stick.

Practitioners I am aware of on this forum include Brian Jones, Jeff Chung, Donna Barnas, Don Rearic...all can lead you in the right direction for hands on training.

dee as much as it pains me to say this check out cold steel
on line they do have some fine hawk combat material.they are blowhards
but they have some fine escrma people set up their cut and dont be cut
videos
