Hello internet!

These people sure make it look like all of their knives are handmade in the UK with those kind of vague YouTube videos and surely the knives look cool, including a certificate and all ..

100% handmade they advertise, i just somehow feel not by them in the UK.

..It is just the complete absence of any review on the web, the price point and though i thought their D2 knives looked pretty the Damascus ones totally give me the vibe of something i can order from Pakistan for less than half the money makes me ultra warry.

Also if this is just someone smacking handles on blanks and passing them off as so exclusive is something i believe is frowned upon and may be something i shouldnt encourage by buying.

does anyone have any experience with this brand? Is it legit? Im all for supporting small business but if its a blank ill spend the money in a böker or something.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Never heard of them. But I personally make it a rule not to buy knives from companies that don't disclose the COO and have no "history" in the knife industry. There are just too many alternatives out there.

yeah, the website I found I would not buy from. every description is cookie cutter. its all D2 or gorgeous damascus, and I didnt see a knife I'd carry even if somebody gave it to me.
2 to 3 weeks for a "custom" knife

yea...no

You're right to be cautious. This makes me think of the movie Ronin: "Whenever there is any doubt, there is no doubt."

Definitely not made in the UK. When country of origin is suspiciously absent, it's usually because it's not a selling point.

The address they list is owned by Companies999, which provides a "Prestigious Jewellery Quarter Registered Office and Service address available, enabling you to boost your company's image." Another site notes 290 companies which share that address.

Even if there are knives, I doubt you'd be happy with any of them at their asking prices. Steer clear.

Yes, as mentioned, they're Pakistani imports. Impact used to be more honest about it, but that seems to have changed.

No. Pakistani owned. Made in Birmingham.UK. Office in Pakistan. Overall good knifes for price. Not all just for decor! There full tang knives are better and more unique for price of a Walmart knife. A little more in some cases. I personally would rather have a Impact as a Chinese made Kershaw or Cold steele. I have had them all! CFK IMPACT ARE VERY GOOD AS WELL FOR PRICE!

Makes perfect sense for a Pakistan company to outsource production to the UK. In other news, Chinese companies might start outsourcing production to Norway and Italy.

Thanks guys. I had a good laugh reading your advice. I went for a böker and suddenly with the money left i felt the need to buy a manchette. Gonna sleep better at night for sure, no doubt.

As for burdened..

..i found the website of impact cutlery more convincing than your comment. Nonetheless, Thank you for your contribution, if i wasnt warry before i certainly am after what you said!

Hello
I came across your forum by accident, looking for a website. Reading your comments I realized that none of you have these IC knives. I'm a knife collector and I've already bought 14 different knives from Impact Cutlery and I can convincingly say that this is great handmade craftsmanship, the knifemaker of these knives is Steve David, maybe he is little known in the world, but he is very good at his job. This company hand crafted knives since 2004, their knives come with a lifetime warranty - "Impact Life Time Warranty" IC have already sold 45K knives on eBay and have 100% positive feedback from customers. Do you think if they made bad knives they would have 100% positive reviews? The IC company does not sell knives in some countries, including Pakistan, because in Pakistan they clone IC knives and sell them as their own knives. There are a lot of knife masters in the world about whom we know nothing from the Internet, but they exist. I always make assessments after the purchase and not before. IC don’t make two identical knives, the knives are not repeated, they are always different and the price is very good. This is the official IC website, you can see their work here - www.impactcutlery.co.uk

Just sort of tripped over our site quite by accident while enroute elsewhere...yet had this soliloquy ready for posting?

Are you actually in Georgia? (The nation, not the state?)

And your connection to this company is what, exactly? That's quite the infomercial for someone who just happened upon our site...especially since the thread had not been posted to since September.

I didn't say there was just one person doing this, maybe Steve David has other craftsmen and they work together under the company name IC, but the knives are very good, I won’t even compare them with Pakistani ones, because I bought from Pakistani residents too, the difference in quality is like heaven and earth.
