Here is another take on the hobbit inspired ‘Took Hunting knife’. This time the blade was forged from 19th century bridge wrought iron laminated to 15n20/1075 damascus. The handle is moose antler and old growth white oak salvaged by divers from Lake Superior. The dot ring motif on the bolster is a common element of Anglo-Saxon and other Germanic art of the early Middle Ages. Tolkien’s inspiration for his books was based largely on Anglo-Saxon culture and myth. And once again I have a spoon sheath toggle to go with the knife. The spoon was carved from juneberry. The blade length is 3 and 3/4″ and the overall length is 8″.
I’m asking $395 with sheath.
